3. Data Processing and Storage

3.1 Image Processing

Images are temporarily sent to our secure servers and to our AI processing provider (OpenAI) for analysis.
Processing typically takes a few seconds.
Images are automatically deleted from our servers after processing and are not used to train AI models.
OpenAI processes images on our behalf under their data processing terms and does not retain image data for training purposes when accessed via their API.

3.2 Local Storage

Your photos and measurement results are stored locally on your device.
You can delete this data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.
Local data is not accessible to other apps on your device.

3.3 Analytics Services

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand app usage patterns.
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix crashes.
All data transmission uses industry-standard encryption.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

4.1 Service Providers

OpenAI: Images are sent to OpenAI’s API for AI-powered weight estimation. OpenAI acts as a data processor on our behalf.
Google Firebase Analytics: For anonymous usage analytics.

We never sell your personal information or images to third parties.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

Treo offers auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your account settings on the App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment information; all payment processing is handled by Apple and Google.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by posting the new policy with a new effective date. Your continued use of Treo after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Data Retention

Images: Deleted immediately after processing (typically within minutes).
Analysis Results: Stored locally on your device until you delete them.
Analytics Data: Anonymous analytics data retained per Firebase’s policies.
Crash Reports: Retained per Firebase Crashlytics retention policies.
